Got a real scare today

My youngest lab, Chotu, started behaving erratically, frantically barking and wheezing

I didn't waste a second ... I immediately rushed him to the Vet. His tongue was blue ... he was diagnosed with heat stroke. His temperature was 105. He was immediately put on oxygen, given cold enemas and a cold body sponge. They kept him on oxygen for a good two hours and kept sponging him with cold water. Finally his temperature returned to normal and his tongue got back to pink. It had turned blue due to low oxygen

The doctor said I'd brought him in the nick of time, any delay could've been very dangerous

Now we're back home and he's sleeping in my lap. I can't stop hugging and kissing my baby

Always watch for any odd behavior. Always.
